I read it this summer, and I just recently finished Robert Langdon's first adventure, Angels and Demons.

I don't agree with a lot of his melding of science and religion, but I think his books are very entertaining.

Digital Fortress is also a good read.

I read them in order of when they were published, so by the time I got to Da Vinci Code, I was disappointed. All of his books read the same (same plots, and predictability). If you read one, you will love it. If you read all three, you will be disappointed in the last one you read because it will be near identical to the first two (always gets the girl; always the same "twist" concerning who is behind everything; etc.).

Yea, I found that out when I started reading Angels and Demons when I was done with The Da Vinci Code. After the first few chapters I'm like "didn't I just read this?"

I picked up at Costco a few weeks back and just finished reading it last week. I was hihgly entertained and that is all that matters. I am not sure how 'accurate' anything is, but I enjoyed the mystery and his writing style so therefore I consider it a good book.

During my flight back from vacation, dropped by the airport bookstore and picked it up. Finished it on my flight home (took 8 of the 10 hours) and I wouldn't call it a classic, but it's entertaining and very easy to read. The chapters are short, the text is big, the writing is like a made for tv movie, and the topic is interesting.

I'd say it's worth a read. I'm not religious at all and I still found the topic of the story interesting. I haven't read a real book in 3 years, my last one being Don Quixote, and I'd say it's an easy and worthwhile read.

What is it exactly about?

That is actually kind of a tough question to answer, in short about some religious societies, the 'truth' behind some of the so-called facts put forth by the Catholic church; I suppose you could call it a text over long time religious conpiracies.

It is best to just read it. It really is worth reading, just don't take it for more than what it is.
