Da hell? Walmart sells Cheesy Poofs

Was in Super Walmart getting some bread/eggs/etc, and I was walking past the snack aisle when to my surprise, I see an endcap full of Cheesy Poofs!

LOL, I love those things, never seen that brand, LA is pretty harsh on big box stores like WM, so not so many WM's as other places I've lived.

i wonder if southpark pays the royalty to use the brand

the logo is right there...believe me, the TV companies would pulverize walmart's ass if they weren't getting a cut.

would be funnier if it was just a random off-brand. and it actually looked like the packaging on the show.

I think the real question is... why were you even in Wal-Mart to begin with, mister? :colbert:

Because unlike some stuck up pricks around here, I don't have a problem shopping at Super Walmart. It's five minutes from my house and has the lowest prices on our main staples (milk, eggs, bread, vegetables, fruit, etc). I also buy a lot of their store brand items (sugar, oatmeal, frozen veggies, flour, vinegar, etc) because it's the cheapest around.

I only shop at regular grocery stores for meat (chicken, ground beef, salmon, steaks, pork, etc) because they consistently beat Walmart on price here.

I also use my credit card rewards to buy Walmart gift cards. Can't do that with the local grocery chains.

Wasn't really chiding you about going to Wal-Mart. 😉

I actually went to Wal-Mart last week hoping they would have a product in stock, but alas... no luck. 🙁 I did get to experience the wonderful 10-15 minute wait in the Express Checkout though... that's always a blast!

I usually pay a slight premium and go to Target, because the check out wait is almost always less than a minute. It's technically slightly closer too, but a single traffic light has never been much of a deciding factor for me. 😛

Sometimes I'll go to Kroger, which is literally right across the street. However, their prices are usually even higher than Target. $1.89 for a 2 liter bottle of soda? Crazy! The only advantage is that they're 24 hours, which Wal-Mart is as well, but the wait at Wal-Mart is still excruciatingly long even in the wee hours of the night. Cheap asses never sleep around here, I guess. 😉

Oh, and I forgot to ask... did you purchase any of those Cheesy Poofs?

Back in the late 90s they actually made the complete package, green box and all. I still have the folded box somewhere, but I haven't seen it in years...

The WalMart near me pisses me off. The prices aren't that great, excepting a very few select items, and the prices marked are ALWAYS wrong. It's usually only ten of cents, but sometimes more. It isn't worth keeping track of at the checkout, because someone will be running all over the store, and it'll take me an hour to leave. I bet they've gotten me for 10-20 dollars since I've been going. It isn't worth the hassle anymore. I'll sometimes swing in for one or two things, but I avoid them for big orders.
