The Bears are overrated. New Orleans is going to win.
The Bears at are home.
New Orleans's offense is NOT going to match up with the Bears' defense.
Speed doesn't work against the Bears' defense, just power and being able to push.

IDNK, too many variables - mainly Grossman and the weather.
Even though Grossman played OK today, the Bears barely pulled it out. And N.O. looked pretty strong last night.

Meh, I'm now thinking N.O. will win even though it's at Chicago.
I don't believe Rex G will have two decent, or even good games in a row. And AFAIK, Tommy Harris etc won't be playing.
Also, N.O. had a bye week and may not be as worn-out as the Bars, plus I feel Sean Payton is the better coach.
Fern
Ooops 😱
After watching this weekend, I'm no longer sure that the AFC is superior. Brady had 3 INTs, Peyton was just so-so.
I'm rooting for the Saints! And I think even though the Super Bowl won't be played it will give the city a boost if the Saints are in it. The bars and restaurants will be a hoppin taht much more, and anything to give the reidents a "moral" boost is a good thing.

Approximately half their wins were domination or verging on it, and more than half of those wins were against top %50 or %75 teams *cough* Seahawks, Giants, Jets, Vikings, Rams *cough*.
And come on, when will you people STOP BASHING GROSSMAN!? For all purposes, he's still a rookie. This is his first full season, and his first season with more than THREE games played. I'd say he's done EXTREMELY well for a rookie QB, wouldn't you? I could go and find the stats of all the Hall of Fame QB's whom had worse stats their rookie years than Grossman's very solid showing (albeit inconsistent), but all I have to say is this : Grossman is back to being "Good Rex" or at least "Safe Rex", and that's not going to change.
Lasty, <3 to every single person in this thread so far that has mentioned playoff experience being key: Nawlins has NEVER been to an NFC Championship, let alone a Superbowl. Plus, they just barely eked out a win against the Eagles last week; that eliminates any validity of using the "Bears *almost* not winning against the Seahawks" argument, seeing as the Seahawks are without a doubt better than the Eagles right now.
Da Bearsss, 24-13.

This talk is almost as bad as the 2002 superbowl when many people jumped on the Patriots bandwagon just because their team name was the Patriots, and we all know because of what happen on 9/11/01, we needed all the patriotism we could get. It was so fitting that they beat the Rams that year. What were the Rams going to do for national morale?
A Saints victory is not going to rebuild any homes in NO, and it is not going to bring any lost jobs back into the city.
This game next week is going to be close, no one can declare a winner. I believe the Bears do have the edge being at home against a dome team. And if anyone wants to complain about strength of schedule, maybe if the Saints didn't lose to the Redskins, or twice to the Panthers. If they were to win those games, suddenly the NFC south is considered weak right along with the NFC north, and the Saints strength of schedule would be right down there with the Bears. But the fact is the Bears beat the opponents on their schedule and deserve home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The fact is the Bears had the lowest strength of schedule last year, and 2nd lowest in 2007.
Doesn't matter. I think the Saints will win this one.
And what does that fact mean or prove? Nothing.
Are you an idiot? I already said it - it means that had an easy schedule.
No, I prefer to think i'm not an idiot. And what I was saying is that having an easy schedule shows nothing in the postseason! You can post all the standalone facts that you like, but they prove nothing.
Hell, the fact that their SoS was lower than most doesn't even bring into consideration that bad teams can and will play a few good games here and there, and a decent amount of the bad teams the Bears played over the course of the season happened to play good games against the Bears.

Da Bearsss, 24-13.
I only have 2 isssues with your comments... first I would take the Eagles over the Seahawks in a heartbeat & second, Grossman may be playing well for a rookie QB, but the fact remains that he didn't play well against the Seahawks "spit & a band-aid" secondary so I can't see him doing very well against the faster & healthier Saints even if they are used to a dome stadium.... below zero weather could be a factor in this, as could lack of playoff experience, but I don't think it'll be enough.
Again I wouldn't be shocked if the Bears win Sunday, but I'm sticking with the Saints & I'm not a fan of either team.
How can you say that Grossman didn't play well? 282 yards, an interception that wasn't his fault, one fumble that was, one great TD play, another play that would've been a touchdown if the receiver (Berrian) hadn't dropped it, and last but not least, no critical mistakes...
Not bad for a 'rookie' QB in an NFC divisional playoff game after spending a week mulling over how he got torn apart by his division rivals in a game that his team was heavily favored to win, not to mention having six weeks or more of sports writers all around the nation clamoring for his replacement with their 2nd stringer...
I'm saying he didn't play well because I watched the game... in fairness he played better then I expected him to, but thats not saying much.
Edit: Just out of curiousity... you a Chicago fan?
I started the "Official Seattle @ Chicago" thread a week early for discussion purposes, and to shush all the Grossman bashers 😉 I've been a Bears fan longer than i've been a Packers fan (don't ask...), and only shorter than i've been a Cubs fan (since birth  )
Heck, he played better than I thought he was going to also, but TBH, his performance seriously renders all "Grossman sucks" arguments moot and void, and there's no denying that.
I mean, yeah, he could have shredded their secondary even further during a regular season game (oh wait, he did 😛), but even Favre/Manning/Brady/Brees/etc couldn't really hope for a better game than what Grossman pulled off in a Divisional Playoff game on a day just above freezing, throwing through rain and sleet and wind, and with half the passes being thrown having been dropped by his receivers.
Bring out any serious, well thought out claims backed up by fact/situation stats about why the game he played was sub-par, and i'll honestly applaud you. By the de-facto standard of his past performances *cough* Carolina last year *cough*, and the tried and true standard of historical analogy, the game he played was a good one, win or loss.
The fact that Da Bearsss won only makes it sweeter.
*edit* Grammar, run-on sentences ftl.

I think they will be Hoisting Rex Grossman's head instead when he costs them the game, either this weekend or actually in the Super Bowl. Either way..I think it will be tough for the Bears to win it all with Rex at the helm.
All the Saints have to do is pressure him and he will start falling apart. The Seahawks made the mistake of giving him time and that cost them.

Nope, the seahwks gave him pressure, and this time, instead of lobbing the ball in the air, he held onto it or threw it away (or fumbled 🙂). If he continues to play conservative like that the bears will be fine.
this game will come down to turnovers, whomever has more will lose the game.

QFFT! The Seahawks D-line was all over Grossman like flies on sh*t the entire game in a caluculated guess that he'd fumble or make stupid throws. It didn't work. He shredded thier horrible secondary anyways. Buh-bye.
You think the 'Aints can blitz well, let alone any better than Seattle? I haven't seen 'em do it all year; how are they gonna do it against their Bears front five?
