D610 Dell laptop and projector...HELP!

Hello, I have a Dell 610 laptop and I am connecting a projector with it, but the Function F8 key won't work for me to make the laptop project onto the big screen using the projector, tried rebooting laptop with it, did not recognize it

Any other ways to get the projector showing the laptop screen? Thanks!

Did you check the source button on the projector to make sure it auto-searches for the computer feed?

Also, I am not sure if my laptop supports dual screen capability, it is a D610 laptop but I can't find Nview on it anywhere, driver is Intel R graphics accelerator driver, thanks

what happens if you plug a normal monitor into the laptop output and toggle FN+F8?

On the projector there is a button that should say source. Press it when you have the computer plugged into the projector with both up and running.

Are you trying to use the VGA or svideo port on the back of this notebooK?
Yes your notebook is capable of dual display ... right click on desktop choose graphics options --> Output To --> Intel Dual Display Clone ..
Also you will want to use the vga port on the back of the machine not the svideo if your trying to use the svideo port.
