D600 wireless problem...

i have installed a 1300 dell wireless g card. i tried it out at school today. Even with a strong signal it kept disconnecting me while others in the same class had a strong solid connection for hours. i'm wondering if i have some setting wrong or something. the card picked up the network automatically. i don't know what to do but this constant disconnecting problem is pretty irritating.

Is that a PC card? Anyway, that shouldn't be happening (heh, I know, Captain Obvious to the rescue!)
If after making sure you have it set up properly, drivers installed and software configured right, it still doesn't work, call Dell and have them help you since you're under warranty. After all, they've moved their support back to the U.S. 😉

well, im pretty sure its not radio intereference, because you said others had it up.
so, i guess its either a software, hardware or driver problem.

When I got my new D800 with a Truemobile 1300, I was having a similar problem....wireless working sometimes, sometimes not. I called Dell support and the tech got me to first uninstall the driver, then take out the card, put the card back in, and reinstall the driver. It worked. Haven't had a problem since.

Since you installed the wireless yourself, are you sure you got the antennae wire(s) snapped on properly? They can be a bitch sometimes.
