D2OL Stats

Looks like the servers are down, have uploaded cands, but can't get any new cands, have unloaded over 100 since yesterday, and am now down to 10 inqueue!

Its been reported to Sengent.... but they have a history of waiting till Monday to fix it... hopefully they will see our message and do something sooner.

This why I keep full ques now set to 100. Actually yesterday they were downloading slow. Thier servers musta crapped out in the night.

My stats have been going up and down between 8013 and 8019 all morning. Hope they don`t lose any or Baldy18 might just catch me before his birthday

Don`t think so. I just checked mine and they`re back down to 8013

The time is changing, but NONE of the numbers are changing, including the Top Teams numbers!

TeAm mates, Im going to suggest that you set your properties to off line untill the servers start feeding and counting candidates. This way if that server decides to dump todays production when it is reset, you wont lose what youve worked hard for... I dont know if that would happen but just to be safe... IMHO

good thing the candidate I am currently crunching on has 97 atoms with 9 rotatable bonds :Q

The first 10 confromers took about 7 minutes a piece :|...one of them had a energy of 2.0 e +12...now that is a sorry candidate!!! Oh well, another hour on this one.

I too have noticed my que is going down. It started last night sometime. And they are all really small.
So my 47 should last the rest of today.

What happens when a system runs out and work? Will it keep trying to connect, even if it takes days? I am concerned about this since I travel most of the time. I sure wish D2OL had a personal proxy available!

I've run out of candidates and switched all my machines over to SETI until the problem is fixed and I can get credit for candidates done.

JW, if you arent home your machines will just sit there initializing untill they fix it, then they will download and continue on.

We will be suspending the project until tomorrow afternoon to correct issues with our statistics reporting. During this time you will not be able to upload/download candidates but your clients will be able to work on any candidates you have in your queue. Guess I'll focus on the eOn project for the next day or so then at least. TA should be able to take 6th place away from ExtremeDC in eOn with just a little push.

When D2OL gets going again I think TA will still be in pretty good shape because the other teams are having the same problems we are having. Our team seems to have a pretty good attitude and doesn't get too upset, I'm wondering if other teams will loose patience more quickly.

Well I guess its time to get my a que setup. Once they get this back online I am going to stockup. Do you know how long they would be good for? I am going to download 20,000+ of them. And then put them on my site for download.

If I knew how to make a tar work I could install some kind of zip utility and download some cands from Geoffs. I think Ill just convert the main box back to Windows..... IF that will allow me to transfer cands to the other Mandrake boxes. I love the speed of Mandrake but what a pain in the old mans arse.

Well if you want once I get my built up I can get some tars up for you. I need them for my red hat installs anyways.

Actually I could do that for all of them. WinRAR can read tars.

Thanks... you might have to coach me how the hell to do it though.. sheesh I feel like I kicked on my first PC with this Mandrake... totally lost..
