Looks like they have TW: Shogun 2 cheaper than Steam did but overall their deals aren't as good. Still nice to have some more competition because Steam needs it IMO.

$11.95 for just the plain Dragon Age? Ripoff! Steam had the Ultimate Edition for $10.20

the question is, should I hold out thinking they will repeat the Shogun deal through Steam, possibly even cheaper than their $30 price point?

:hmm:

I will be leaving late Sunday--this thing ends on Sunday, right? I'd hate the follow-up summary sale to be on Monday, as I'll be in the woods until Wednesday.

ACII seems pretty cheap. I missed it for $6 or so on steam few days ago. Amazon is $14 I think.

My thought exactly. D2D just can't afford to match Steam's deals overall. What used to be a risk for Steam is just their thing now, and it's part of what separates them from other online download services.

D2D has had better deals overall for the past few months now. Especially on pre-orders. Their summer sale has been terrible though. I'm wondering if it has to do with the Gamefly merger.

The only team Steam repeats deals during a sale is for an encore day and it is the same price as it was when it was the daily deal. So Shogun 2 wont be below $30 on Steam during this sale.

D2D has had better deals overall for the past few months now.

A few weeks ago D2D had Fallout New Vegas for around $12, with a promo code the price was brought to something like $11.75.

I dont think I have seen New Vegas for less then $30 on steam.

The current summer sale at D2D seems ok, but their regular sales are pretty sweet.

D2D has Fallout 3:Game of the Year edition (Original game + all DLC packs) for only $9.95. Pretty good deal for those that don't have it yet.

Really want to pick this up, i'm just hesitant because of all the Win7 64 problems i'm reading about. Plus the fact that according to Microsoft it doesn't officially support the game.

It was $10 a few days ago during the summer sale.

Can Fallout 3: GOTY from D2D be registered in Steam like New Vegas?

Still waiting for the New Vegas DLC to go on sale. It's 25% off ($7.49) on Steam right now, but that's per pack, and I feel like I can do better.
