Well, I just went to go start my truck and it just moaned at me. It tried to turn over, but can't. Since it has only been a few years since the last one, I will probably get the new battery for close to free, which is the only reason I am going back to Sears. The name doesn't lie, they do die hard.
 
I suspect you might get a new alternator for not-so-free as part of the deal. 3 year old batteries are generally still within their useful life, and don't die without a reason.

Anyway, good luck on all that.
 
When I bought my 93 sentra in late 2001 with 142k miles on it best we could tell it still had the original battery in it!
