D-Link Router...

Sure if you tell me how to fix my vehicle.😉

I.e. Which Model?

What type of connection?

What it is connected to?

What happened to the manual?

:sun:

D-link DI-624
Cox Cable internet.
Connected to my D-Link cable modem that works
I get a connection, but no packets being received.

Have the same router, but I use DSL, so no clue about cable...set the proper connection type and config in the WAN-Tab or use the wizard.

You can also download the manual from D-Link support or use the built in help function.

In options, I can't renew IP. It says DHCP Client Disconnected. I have been trying to get this to work for a 2 days now...

Can you connect the modem directly to your computer without problems? Is the router set to automatically obtain an IP, is the modem set to automatically assign an IP? It sounds like you might have the modem configured wrong.

i am connected directly to my cable modem right now. Cox had to get the mac address for the cable modem. So i copied the mac address of the cable modem to the router. i get a strong connection, but no packets received. So no internet.

If you are using wireless try using a wired connection to the router and see if that works. If not,
1. Try updateing the router firmware, the older versions of the DI-624 had alot of problems.
2. It could be a hardware problem, I work in retail and have seen many dead brand new Dlinks take it back and exchange it for another one or a linksys product.
