D-Link Router Question

Hello,

I have the D-Link DIR-625 router, it connects to the internet fine, sometimes connects, but others not to xbox live. I tried disabling dynamic fragmentation, turning on DMZ, port forwarding rules as well as every other setting, I can connect to the xbox360 directly through the cable modem, but very few times through the router, I am using a wired connection. If you have this router and know how I can get it to work on xbox live, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

I took a look at the links and did everything it says, but I still can't connect. Sometimes either the Xbox360 detects the IP address or the DNS servers or when it detects them both, the MTU setting fails, the setting is fine on the router. I made a call to my cable ISP and they are having problems, I hope when they fix them the router will work better.

Thanks for the reply.

Hello,

I finally made it to connect the router with xbox live, it turned out I put on the additional settings on the network section on Xbox live my computer's MAC address as a second choice, I removed it and everything works fine now, it seems the Xbox360 was looking for the address the router gave it.

Thanks again for the reply.
