Odd. When you go throught the item selection, the rebate link states clearly that you must buy both the NIC and router

Hey I just went to to the CC homepage and looked up the rebate coupon. IF you scroll down on this page you can see both rebates listed. The one that is on the site for the product is for a combined offer the other one seems to be for only purchasing the NIC

Link to Rebates

Seems that there are two rebates going on.

After going to this click on Computer Acces. and scroll down you will see the rebates for the two DLink items.

Anyone have good experiences or terror stories about D-Link rebates? I've purchased the same cards for about $10 before, and if it's too much trouble to receive the rebate, might as well not bother.

Try calling Dlink to nudge them on your rebate. As far as I'm concerned, it's part of the rebate scam. A lot of companies won't send the rebate out until you call to remind them. I've called when they don't send them out and always end up getting them.

This is a repost, but I'd just like to say that I got that card today at CC and have already sent in the rebate. The rebate clearly states that it is $20 for 1 DFE-530TX+. The rebate I got, which printed out at the cash register, has nothing to do with a combo.

Post I made earlier today about this rebate

This is a good card...

Good Card == Compatable with both Linux and Norton Ghost.

D-Link has drivers for both linux and dos (and all windows too). This being the DFE-530TX+ card, will require users to manually edit the ghost file (as ghost natively supports the DFE-530TX). Which only requires that you download the driver file for dos, put it on the floppy and then change the references to the old driver to the new driver.

I've got one of these installed and one new in a box, and I'm headed out to buy more tomorrow (this deal...)

But they both have the same rebate number - Does that make a difference?

If you look at the top of the rebate(b&m) it states with purchase of qualifying D-link...or something like that.

BeastBuy only PM's before rebates. I needed a nic for my wife's boss, and our OM is closing so they didn't have it in stock for their price of $10. CompUSA has it for $10 but they are too far away for BB to PM so no joy. I bought this instead and he'll just have to deal with the rebate. Still, if the rebate comes through it is a sweet deal.
