So I just purchased a D-Link DWL-G510 Revision B wireless PCI card for my computer. My PC uses an Asus A7V motherboard, Athlon 1.1 GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, and is running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2.
The card installs just fine and it doesn't matter if I use the drivers on the included CD or if I use the most recent downloaded drivers (v2.11) from the D-Link Web site...the end result is that as soon as I connect to my wireless network (which it detects just fine by the way), the CPU usage pegs out at 100%. Oviously this makes the computer a joy to use. :/
Any suggestions?
