Hello all,

I have been looking to buy a wireless access point. I came across the D-Link DI-711 and have only found one review (beyond what is on D-Link's website). Does anyone here own one? Can you give me a run down of what you think? Thanks.

It's not bad (I'm using one), but I think you would be happier with the DI-713P, with a built-in printer server.

Pocatello,

Could you please expand a little? Is it simply because of the number of available ports? Or is there something else that I should know? The reason is that I found a really good deal for this unit (~$45 shipped brand new from Amazon) and I want to know if I should keep it or try to ebay it.

Thanks.

I went to Google.com and searched using keywords of "DI-711 review" found these results.

I have a DI-714 and am very happy. Range is great too, much better than previous Netgear and Linksys units I've tried. New firmware supports MAC filtering which is great for security ontop of 128bit WEP.

Far as "is the DI-711 good for me?" Well, what are you going to do with it? Just hook one computer up?
