Very nice router.....had mine for a bit now, got it @ OM for $29 & thought that was a good deal at the time ;)

Whoever is having problems with this router & has to reboot it all the time is not too bright. Upgrade ur firmware....it takes minutes at most & this router runs flawlessly. Even UPnP is working 100% for me so far :)

What kind of an arrogant SOB are you? If you do your research, you'll see that other people are complaining about it overheating and losing their connections. I got this in Feb(latest firmware was back in Nov). Had problems from day 1. Noticed other people had same problem, ie, the web configuration wouldn't display. Tech support said they never heard of that happening. Spent hours on the phone with them. I went to amazon and read the reviews, people were complaining about the exact same thing back in July. Tech support didn't know how to correct that problem, but the people over at broadbandreports did! You have to clear your cache and your History. It runs hot and NO firmware is going to correct that, and I suspect that is why the connection drops dead. Also, it appears that dlink is making this product cheaper and cheaper as each day goes by.

I'm soooo glad your's is working perfectly, like you.

Just got it all setup, upgraded the firmware and it defineately works. If you can't find it at Compusa, defineately check at BB. It is maybe not worth the difference in $2, but the hassle of compusa rebates it is, either way for me a least BB was closer. Thanks for the heads up.

The problem with buying this router at BB, CC, or OD, is that the MIR is only $10. D-Link has a special promo going just with CompUSA this week with a $20 MIR. Btw, tomorrow (Sat) is the last day for this deal... Be sure to download the latest firmware - makes all the difference in the world!

i like this router, however as cheap as some lan+wireless routers have become, its hard to justify not spending another $20 or $30 (if you wait for an especially good deal) just in case you ever want to add wireless pc's.

this is a great deal and price for a dsl/cable router. but this di-604 model from d-link is just absoulte trash... it restarted itself about once everyday and this doesn't apply just to one or two customers... there are A LOT of them like that.

i would suggest you guys buy any other router than this trash d-link

Haven't we already determined that upgrading your firmware fixes most of these issues? I have 2 of these myself - no problems with either one. I also just installed one for my Dad - no problems.

Just upgrade the firmware. Everyone is so religious about upgrading their video drivers, etc. for games, but apparently they are neglecting these little routers - they need the same upgrades for security/reliability.

Hey i had this router before the great $20 Dlink 614+ deal for which i'll prob get for a 2 bucks after taxes and rebate..hehe..:p

anywhoo..yeah well i had this router and it worked great...i could download a lotta stuff before the thing either itself needed rebooting for Heat reasons i am sure. or i reboot the thing myself.

but all in all i loved it..but now i love my 614+ even more..

btw if u need to get any info on how to set up any perticular service on this router or any other router for that matter go to www.dslreports.com then forums..then go to hardware by brand..or just click here.. http://www.dslreports.com/forums/18 then obviously click on the company ur router's from.

lotta info there..
