My home network consists of only two computers , networked together using D-Links DFE-910 network in a box. Wingate software is used for the network.
Also there is an additional ISA network card on the server for one way cable connettion to the internet.
The cable modem works fine.
Double clicking the Network Neighborhood Icon on the desktop of both the server and client correctly shows the client & the server on the network. A ping from the server to the client , or from the client to the server shows the two computers communicate properly. Both the server and the client successfully log on to the internet thru the cable hookup an the server.
When I am using either the server of client, I can access the client's folders from either computer via the network. However, when I double click the server from the network from either the server or client, there are no folders showing. Print & file sharing is enabled.
Any ideas as how to place the servers folders on the network?
Could the problem be associated with Zone Alarms, an internet firewall software?
Thanks for the help.
