d-link cablemodem 79.99 after rebate Bestbuy 3/3 -9

It will work. Just make sure your AT&T area is up and running with DOCSIS. My understanding is all footprints are DOCSIS ready.....

If it is, that is the standard in cable modems.

I think I saw this D-Link Cable Modem at best buy last weekend while I am shopping for a cable modem. I think it labeled on the box that it is a 10mbs cable mode, it is not 10/100 mbs.

So I ended up buying a Linksys 10/100 mbs cable modem at staple. Staples is selling it for $129.99, and Amazon is selling it for $104.99 with free shipping. So I price matched it with staple and get it for around $108 with tax included. I guess it would be great if there's those 20 dollars off 100 dollars coupon from staples, but I can't find any on the Internet.

Why would it matter if your cable modem is 10 or 10/100? Your lucky to get 1.5mbps out of it. The part you want to worry about is that your NICS and your switch are 10/100. The cable modem shouldn't matter at all.

I know that it doesn't matter right now, but who knows what's going on in the future, maybe cable internet broadband technology got better, and let you go over 10mbs....

keep dreaming. I remember a few years ago, Those industry experts, big Men predited we would all using high speed internet in the state now. even in the silicon Valley, the San Jose downtown isn't wired with the cable internet yet. And the entire database of the ATT cable ready home address list is base on 10 years ago since I have the cable internet now for two years but my home address is still wrong in their billing statement. (torn down the old house and build a new one and have a different street address)

We here at my house bought a 3COM modem once. It cost $50 after mail in rebate. It was DOCSIS compatible, and the AT&T guys refused to acknowledge it on their network. They made us buy a Toshiba modem, which was $200!

They sold out of the dlink cable router's with the same discount by noon the sunday the sale started couple weeks ago's, there probally limit 10 per store and no rainchecks? better get there early sunday if you want 1

No problem getting this bad boy to work with Comcast. I had to get this with the time factor, needed one today! By far not the best deal out there but for anyone in a hurry, there's always a Best Buy to save you!

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

The cable guy confirmed that my address is broadband ready. Theyre coming to install it on wednesday. Now I need to go find my own cable modem and a router...😀
