Looks like the "additional purchase" is a desktop or laptop computer. Am I reading that wrong? I see the $25 standalone rebate, but the others seem to require a computer purchase.

LOL

Here I thought the "additional purchase" would be a filler to get it to $50 for free shipping or something like that. Turns out (like royaldank siad) it's "FREE after rebates when purchased with any HP, IBM, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Averatec Desktop or Notebook Computer!"
Some "additional purchase"!

Good catch.

You can still get $25.00 off without any additional purchase.

May not be worth the trouble.

The D-Link Router is a dog. Persistent dropouts. I had one and sent it back about three weeks ago..

Sorry about your luck, but to call all 524's a dog is just plain misinformative. This is one of the most stable I have ever used. Using WinXP SP2 on 2 laptops and 1 desktop with all the freakin' updates, and WPA-PSK. No connection issues whatsoever. If you know how to configure routers, it should work very well....

Check out dslreports.com. Reports of a weird problem with it disconnecting after 34 minutes are widespread. Caveat emptor.
