mori, we don't want to leave.
Please let us run the project we want and you run the project you want :D
I think we're all just a bit too stubborn to leave, basically :D

But here you are number one, and @ SoB we are still second, and ORU have bigger daily rate than us !!

BTW. What means 'stubborn' ?!

moriakaice - you have to understand that it is a *personal* choice what project people choose to run. I am currently running SoB on the machines that have no candidates to crunch, and am currently something like 1250K CEMs/sec for the team, but it's my backup projects, not my main one. I know that folks from this project helped out the D2OL team, and I am repaying that favour, but it's a personal choice, not a democratic one.

Stubborn means that, rational or not, it is difficult to convince someone to change their mind about something. :)

My machines are getting a welcome spot of rest and maintenance during this timeout. Ram timing adjustments and performance tuneup, readying for the new SARS candidate. Once that begins I dont think there will be much time for maintenance and the like so I am taking advantage of it.

Also I see just as many complaints of stalled SOB clients lately.

sigh.. i was trying to get all my systems ready by Monday, but one machine's missing a critical part.. just because I haven't recieved it yet :( No CPU = No computer :p of all the parts I could be missing..I just hope it gets here early tomorrow afternoon so I can stick it into a machine and get to work on, hopefully, some SARS candidates.. Oh well.. only time will tell. But this break was good.. I got to format all my machines so every one of them has a nice clean install :D

Convince = Firmly Persuade
BTW, D²OL web site and forum are both back. No candidates or stats yet :( , hopefully soon :)

Update today

All,

We are still in the process of migrating the project to our new hardware. I believe we will have it back up and running by this Wednesday. Until it is back up you will not be able to register new nodes, upload, or download new candidates.

Firmly Persuade ?! OK, i will search myslef what means convince, or I won't get known what it means :(

Many years ago some people believed the world was flat. Today people know the world is round. If you were still of the belief that the world was flat, that means you are firmly convinced it is flat, and regardless how much people try to change your mind that it is round, you are too STUBBORN to accept that it is not flat.

We do D2OL because we are firmly convinced that it is a worthy project to continue, and too stubborn to accept that it is not.

Being stubborn does not necessarily mean you are wrong, but that you are thoroughly convinced that you are right. You are so sure that you are right that you can not be persuaded otherwise, so you are therefore convinced.

Anyone into covert ops? TSC is working, we passed one team we could knock of another one or two with a little help. When is the last time this team passed someone? It`s fun. One day of crunching can make a big difference here. Check the stats TSC Team stats. You can test your upgrades on some of these things.

It would be a cold day in hell before we got 1297 nodes for TSC...

The candidates at TSC seem to crunch faster. You can add 15 to 20% to your recent D2OL daily average. If you look at the best candidates page you will see that the best ones have been found recently as compared to D2OL. I see a lot of sub 30 sec conformers. Its like D2OL 5 months ago. The install won`t bother your D2OL install. I have run one D2OL and one TSC on my dually with no problem. You can point a Dspy tab at TSC also. You can`t run them together on a single processor machine.

I was thinking of one or two days of crunching. That RIDDLECOM team stepped up production after we passed them POLAND is standing still. 2025 isn`t doing much. These people need a wakeup call. We can make a lot of things happen at TSC in one day. It could be fun.

The question is how many of those nodes are producing and have many are reinstalls,i have 14 nodes but they aren't all producing now.
