Thanks for the stats Geoff. I am going to have my next milestone today (any second now in fact). Going to Vegas later today...I think I am going to leave atleast one of my two main rigs on. I am gonna be gone for 4 days and I dont want the parents pissed when I get back, ya know? Oh well, happy crunching team.

since we're making such a big killing on D2ol i'm kindof thinking of switching all my machines over to TSC. See if i can help out a little over there. Has anybody seen a SARS candidate yet?

Ack... a 2100+ is down. Power went out at home today. When I fired up the box, it said that Win2K Pro had a corrupted file. Gonna have to reinstall Win2k Pro in the morning 🙁 I hope the whole disk isn't fubar-ed so that I can get the node and stats files off that box 🙁
 
I had that happen on one of mine, it turned out to be bad ram. ntskrnl. Was the file. Couldn`t install until I swapped out the ram. I reinstalled then I tried the ram again, same error, I removed the ram and it was OK. I would swap the ram first.
 
That's happened to me a few times before too.. If the RAM trick doesn't work, try booting up using your windows 2000 CD and when it prompts you to repair it the first time during the install process, ignore it. The second time it prompts you should be after it says something like "searching for previous installation of microsoft windows..." or something along those lines.. choose to repair it there.. all it does is recopy all the OS files to your computer.. should be able to fix it like that.. i'd install the service packs and critical updates again after install tho since it does overwrite those files w/ the ones on CD.. i think... hope that helps...

Oh.. and does anyone know how the results are scored on D2OL? I seem to have the lowest "Best Result" out of everyone on the Top 100.. am I doing something wrong??

Why don't you copy your node.prp files on to a floppy ?

It's just the luck of the candidate server giving out candidates. If you get a good (low) one, you get a good one.
