Normaly my pc does 50 ~60/ day and the past few days only 25 when I'm lucky!

Sorry Geoff, you are going to be disappointed. After that last upload, I haven't been running the clients on the Beowulf. Maintenance and, you know, real (read astrophysics) work being done. 🙂
 
Hey Co-DC-ers: Geoff and all the others who do stats appreciate your thanks, I'm sure, but is necessary every day? Seems like a lot of clutter in forum database. Really doesn't need to be bumped, as simply search on "D²OL" brings them all up.

I have noticed the opposite problem! I want to look at Geoff's one post a day (which we all generally post under), but have to sort through a 9,000 messages a day about SETI with such brilliant and repetitious topics such as:

01. I got XXXXX work units today, please praise me! (usually 10 of these)
02. We are going to be passed by XXXXXX if we don't get help! (usually 10 of these, too)
03. The XXXXXXX seti-que is down.
04. The XXXXXXX seti-que is up.
05. How do I connect to this seti-que?
06. I got XXXXX work units today, please praise me! (usually 10 more of these)
07. How many WUs can I get on a 386?
08. How many WU's can I get on a 486?
09. How many WU's can I get on a [enter a processor here]?
10. Statistics from the SETI XXXXX MTR.
11. Updates statistics from the SETI XXXXX MTR.
12. BOINC features
13. I got XXXXX work units today, please praise me! (usually 10 more of these)
14. SETI daily averages for the week of XXXXXXX!
15. SETI milestones!

BCinSC doesn't do seti as far as I know so he would agree with you I'm sure . 😛
 
Hmmm. That's even worse! Maybe he's just trying to be a mod with his 1260 posts then. Plus his avatar is a cow! ROTFL. 😀
 
I've been a big SETI supporter for TA, but I totally agree with Shame here - the few daily D²OL posts definitely aren't excessive.

Miscommunication. Daily Stats are VERY useful and I am very thankful to Geoffs here and others in other projects. The "Thanks" entries from a dozen people every day is what I'm talking about.
 
Considering the amount of effort that the statskeepers like GeoffS make to provide these to us, I fully support daily "Thanks!" from the users.

If you don't like seeing it, there are plenty of other Forums to visit inside Anandtech, and others not so. I dare say the Anandtech Moderators couldn't care less about people saying Thank you! to other users, as the Mods are generally dealing with troublesome issues on mainly the other forums. Mods? Care to comment?

When I joined you guys just 93 days ago, I looked for a project that had a purpose and looked like people we interested in the project.

I took the "Thank for the stats" messages as participation. One thread with many posts, does not seem too much to me.
