Crap. This would be perfect for my Micro ITX project. I'm trying to fit the whole pc in a lunchbox. I could slip this right in the lid. Hopefully, they'll still have some in stock next week, I'm tapped till then.

I was so unhappy with the performance of 5.6 and 7" screens that were available at a their REDICULOUS price(s)... that I just went with a Shuttle and 15" LCD Samsung in my van. I just don't get the price of those small POS monitors. Not when you can get a 15" plus for far less than most of them.

Now we can watch DVD's and play all the games needed on long trips. And having the bigger screen... is great. I can just grab it up out of the van and plug it into a phone line for internet access while on the road also.

I went all wireless. Wireless Remote for the DVD's, wireless mini keyboard/mouse all in one, wireless gamepad, wireless Dolby Digital headsets. No wires, and amazing performance. Saved a cr@p load compared to what they charge at the mobile audio/video stores. $1000 for a damn DVD changer... I mean c'mon.

Anyway.... be careful when it comes to these small monitors. Some really look like cr@p.

JMO.

That's good to hear... mine are on the UPS truck now... should get them in a few hours. I've got a 6 hour trip this weekend and a 9 hour trip next weekend, hopefully these will keep my kids quiet... and me sane.

Finalastt...

I used the 15" Samsung 152N ($234) hooked to the shuttle ($165.00) w/1700 XP. The shuttle has a DVD/Cdrw ($34.00 Staples). Watch DVD's on the Shuttle. The 15" fits perfect between the front seats (facing the passengers). I use a 450 watt inverter (a 350 watt inverter is plenty for the shuttle, monitor and all wireless PS's, and it is SAFE to use a NON surge protected power strip with an inverter. Just do not exceed the rated draw on the inverter). Works flawless. As it turns out computers are VERY well adapted to "modified" sine wave power. They handle the modified sine wave inverters with great ease.

If I had purchased mobile audio/video equipment, it would have cost 10 times as much.

And Icantaffordit..... yes with a DVD playing and the kids with their wireless Dolby Digital headsets on.... there is PURE silence whilst driving!! Very nice bonus!!!

I got mine and they're in the car. Pretty good for $75 each. If I were watching them myself (these are for the kids) I'd want a bigger, brighter screen. But hey, I added a dvd player and two screens to my car for a grand total of $320... hard to beat that.
