On July 1st, Cyberwings will raise it's rates and go to a monthly hosting bill plan. Also, Shawn (CEO) announces in chat the following just a couple minutes ago...

Links the the "I"ndvidual plans, to get quadruple bandwidth.

Shawn is also having another account ZAPPING sale (increase bandwith, storage, etc) --- and he's allowing DOUBLE ZAPPING (if you've aready zapped, you're allowed to zap one more time). I have 40 gig monthly transfer limit. If I 5X-ZAP it, I'm going to run an eBay mirror. 😉

You have to follow these instructions to get the deal, it's not posted on the site directly: -- from Sean's own words from the IRC:

i paid $8 for a 5x zap 2weeks ago during one of his "one time" chat sales. the 5x increase still hasnt shown up, how long am i supposed to wait?

The last chance to ZAP a few weeks ago, you are supposed to wait 3-5 days. Then the last chance to ZAP from the birthday sales from 6-22 to 6-24, you are also supposed to wait 3-5 days. So now he is offering this last chance sales again. So my guess is it will be a 3-5 days wait. And don't worry about his sales, it will come back from the dead every4-5 days. You will always have the absolute last chance to ZAP your account, buy the 50% off I-Plans, or buy the so-call LIMITED reseller account.
My conclusion, Shawn is the biggest liar in hosting business. There is always another last chance sales after his last last chance sales.

Is it just me or is CYBERWINGS acting so suspicius that it's seemingly lik ENRON or WorldCom? You think maybe they'll be going down in a few months and this is why their selling lifetime subscriber accounts for so cheap?
 
cyberwings is really starting to worry me, tons of sales lately, i wouldn't be surprised if they just go belly up and then bail out

it is the "still in business sale"


my domain was down for 5 minutes just now, and cyberwings page was loading a blank gray page also. but both are back up. that's the 3rd outage i've seen in the last 2 months and i dont even check that often
 
I'm really sad to see them go. I've been happy with my service and I don't have much time right now to find and configure a new host. Lesson learned, I guess. If anyone finds any good hosting deals please post them, as a lot of AT'ers are in sudden need of a new provider.
