CyberRebates - 100% Free Stuff - Now Unlimited Rebates

Cyberrebates has extended it's rebate promotion. They now offer unlimited rebates, meaning you are not restricted to only one rebate per item. They also have added DVD's and magazines to their offerings. A hot deal?

Now... that being said... I'm getting a BAD feeling about this place. They keep sweetening the pot each quarter and increasing their prices. I've been a big user of Cyberrebates in the past, but it's really getting the feel of a ponzie scheme (just my opinion, I have no facts to back this other than what I've stated). The feeling is that they need to continue to generate cash flow in order to pay off previous rebates.

They first offered rather reasonably priced items and charged for shipping (only $4.95 per order). Then they increased prices a little, what used to be $50 was now $100. They then increased prices further, so that same $50 item before was now over $250 but they offered free shipping. Then came the Ebate Rebates, where you would get 7% of your purchase rebated (it's now set at 5%). Then they started offering special deals if you bought $500 or more, plus coupons based on your purchase. Then they offered $10 off coupons and now they expand their offering to include DVD's (priced at $169!, that's right, $169), magazines and also make it unlimted rebates.

It's a hot deal, you can get as many of anything you want for free, just need to wait 14 weeks. Again, I've taken advantage of this in the past, but their current business plan has me now sitting these deals out.

Check out their deals at CyberRebates - Unlimited 100% Rebates!

I'm with you on the bad feeling. I've ordered over $11,000 from them and have received it all back. But you gotta wonder when it's gonna come crashing down.

someone always brings up cyberrebates again and again, i ordered from them once, like 300 bucks on a stupid animal thing or somethin, well i got it....4 months later and it was freakin defective. But i did get all my money back. All this company does is invest it for 4 months then they've made a profit and can easily afford to pay you back, cyberrebate is suck.

I just hope they're investing wisely...I wouldn't want to be stuck with 20 or 30 $169 Dvd's and have Cyberrebate go out of business that that point.

<< cyberrebate is suck >>

-- LOL....try "cyberrebates sucks" or "it sucks".....and honestly, they do suck. Sure, they *sometimes* have a good item, but so overpriced it's rough on your credit card when a large amount is stuck there and you have to pay interest on it. $169 for a DVD? I gotta check that out. I wonder if anyone has ever complained to the BBB about them?

$300 @ 12%/yr = $36 (I'd like to know where to get this about now!)
4 months worth =$12

That is 'not' gonna cover the cost of shipping, salaries, etc. plus paying you back the $300(even for a $30 doll)

You also could have made 5%($15) by using Dash.

Paradox,

No, no, no, you don't get it. Cyberrebate is suck! 😉

Yeah, I had phantom dreams of buying some stuff at cyberrebate and fleabaying it off, now that they have unlimited buying, but at almost $200 per DVD, and 3-4 hundred for anything else interesting, my CC limit starts to really breath down my neck. None of my checking accounts can casually take hits like that on a whim! I once noticed they had earplugs (the foamy ones you buy at walgreens for a buck) for $214.00!!!! I emailed them asking how they could do such an absurd thing and they sent me back some marketing spiel about fair market value plus some extra to cover their behinds, and the next day, the price was promptly lowered to $12.99 or there abouts. I know their rebates are rock solid (so far) but something there just isn't right.

yeup, i feel the same way. i've thrown in 4 grand into this company and seen almost all of it back (still working through some paperwork), but it'll be sad seeing them go down...

They have a ton of complaints with the BBB and other organizations;buyer beware at this point. And yes, I know that many people have received their rebates in the past. I received a $1000 check from pointclick also, but people are now fighting in bankruptcy court for scraps from those guys. Past performance does not guarantee future performance.....

I can't help but be cynical. ALL scams pay off at first, even legal ones like the tech stock run-up in '99 and '00. That's what gets more people involved to keep the money flowing for the early-adopters! But eventually they all come crashing down and someone gets screwed, usually the latecomers. <insert tech stock analogy again here>

If Cyberrebates makes it past May, ( all the Xmas rebates will be paid by then ) then they probably will be around past next Xmas.
