Cyberpower?

I own three of their UPSs. All of the "AVR" line. They are awesome. NO probs at all, and they have updated drivers on their website. The power has gone out and they did their job...even saved my files. 🙂 I would buy from them again, for home use.

I have had troubles with one of their UPS's. (Cant remember which model at the moment) The battery/surge protector side of it went out, yet the surge protector side is still working. Warrenty was up, but I had not owned it that long.

Those systems are a lot of eye candy. 😉

I bought a Cyberpowerpc last year and it's still working great . Of course i did upgrade a lot of the parts though

Another Cyberpower customer here - a 1250AVR from Newegg, and a surge protector. My complaints are minimal - sometimes Windows doesn't detect the UPS, and I need to go into Device Manager, remove the UPS, and reinstall it. It seems like it's a Windows screwup though, so it might not be the UPS' fault.
That, and...uh, I think that's it. 🙂

Jeff, I have that problem as well. No matter if you install the Power Panel Plus software first, or let Windows detect it, then install it, Device Mangler shows "?" next to "UPS."

Here's what I do. Install the software. Reboot. Connect serial cable. Windows detects the UPS, I cancel out of Windows Wizard.

Go into Device Mangler and reinstall the driver, pointing to the PPP folder on the System drive. All is well at that point. Should we not have to go thru this? Absolutely. Does it work perfectly after this harrangue? Absolutely. 😀

Since updating to WinXP Pro, I've had no probs w/the OS detecting the UPS on bootup. No probs at all.

Rarely under W2K it wouldn't detect...rarely though.
