Cyberpower 900VA/560W UPS clearance at BB: $22.99 OTD

I was in a Charlotte, NC BB today, and happened to spot a Cyberpower 900VA UPS on clearance for $22.99, no rebate. The sku is 7185191 . The model# is CP900D on the box, but says BC900 on the receipt. This model has automatic voltage regulation (AVR), which is also a big plus. Made in China.

Good luck finding these.

Edit to mention higher VA models possibly available (see below).

edit: i went to the roseville store and was not able to find the cyberpower 900va UPS
the customer service rep did tell me that there was a 1500va APC UPS on clearance
model number bx1500lcd
he said it was 39.99 down from the regular 119.99
he checked the inventory and found 2 in stock still
i was going to buy both but they only had one of the shelf

thanks for the info. My Belkin 900 died after 4 years of service, it was also a clearance item. I'll take a run to the local store later today.

Baton Rouge LA had one of the 900's for $35, the 1200 rang up at $140, didn't see or ask about the 1500.
 
How does Cyberpower compare to APC. After my Energizer crapped out in less than a year, I've stuck with APCs since.
 
The battery ages. Even when sitting on a shelf. You usually need to replace battery after about 3 years.

When a unit is put on clearance, that may be a sign that it has been sitting there for quite some time.

Make sure the company has a good warranty and will pay for shipping if the battery is dead. APC did for me.
 
at those prices, worth a shot. I went to the Best Buy across town, they had 3 of the BC1200's on the shelf with clearance tags of $28 on them, picked up all 3... These have 3 year warranties, also.
 
Friend of mine went to the Best Buy in Skokie, IL, reports than none of the UPS's listed in this thread had made it to clearance. Very dusty, though... ;-)

Maybe it's a regional thing....
 
Mine was not on clearance in New York. I was so excited when they had it and bummed when it was $117.

 
I just got back from BB, and picked up the APC bx1500lcd for $39.99 as bigfil said. I wanted the bigger 1500VA, and the price was right for me, so I didnt even check the 1200VA CP
 
That's some hot deals, esp the BX1500! I got that one from another HD thread earlier this year ($50AR). I'm back home in LA now, and with summer here I need more units with AVR to handle the brownouts we have every year. I'll have to go look for that one.

I'm glad some of you were able to take advantage of this.
