Interesting article about how society puts women in certain boxes. And when a woman steps outside that box people take it upon themselves to put women back in their place.
This is especially true with hunting.

Even though we have made progress in womens rights, we still have a long way to go.
Womens rights groups sue for equal pay and promotions for women, but what about hunting? Where are the womens rights groups when it comes to hunting?
This is especially true with hunting.

Barry Goldstein, nationally recognized domestic violence author and speaker, offers some insight: “Lots of the time gender bias can be unconscious. It’s based on stereotypes, on a long history of men and women in certain roles. It’s important to remember when you talk about aggressive or physically powerful behavior (such as hunting) it’s something society tolerates in men far more than women.
“For example, when a woman murders her partner, her sentence is an average of 70% longer than if a man had killed a woman. When women don’t behave the way society wants them to, some people develop a sense of entitlement to be punitive.”
