Cutting case to make room for video card

I was wondering if its possible to cut a bit of my Antec Solo case (like most people do) to make room for a 260 gtx but WITH the mobo on. Anyone tried it?

Haven't tried that specifically, but I have made room in the drive cage in my 1200 for a cold cathode tube light thing, I just used a dremel with cut-off wheel and it wasn't too difficult to clean up the edges with some sandpaper.

(You'd have to remove the motherboard first, haha)

I wouldn't cut any metal inside or outside the case with the motherboard still installed. The inevitable metal shavings that you'll get + motherboard just waiting to catch them = nice shorted out motherboard the first time you power it back up.

Take the time to do it correctly if you're going to do it at all.

quoted for truth

Search for "gtx antec solo" and you'll get a few threads, some with pics of what you have to cut. You actually don't have to cut very much, but you will lose at least one HDD bay.
