So I flipped the channel to USA and Saint was playing, I own the DVD and it's an awesome movie. So anyways there is a part in the movie where the scientist is rushing to the US embassy gates in Moscow. The guards lets her in and closes the gate right before the Russian guy reaches the gate. The soldier tells the Russian mobster to back off 3 times and then the Russian mobster spits in the soldier's face and walks away.
Now the spitting part is cutoff and he just walks away. I just found it strange that the spitting part was cutoff. Was this for political reasons? Or would you say there was something else to it?

Movies on normal TV are often heavily edited to fit in a time slot, taking bits from here and there.

They also usually cut off the entire end of that movie, changing the feel of it.

Lol I remember when The Matrix came on Boradcast, and they tried to make all of the cuss words sound decent.

Neo (in interegation room) : "Well that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I've got a better one. How about, I give you a flipper *makes unseen gesture* and you give me my phone call."

Said excerpt was supposed be Neo giving Smith the "finger".

From Fargo: "Shut the fruit up!"

Lol, "die hard" is the best, they have to coverup every other word :p, and the dubbing is done really bad (probably on purpose), so its completely obvious.

Wow. Are they trying to get everything down to a G rating? In the next version, every time he shoots a gun, the sound will be replaced with that of a rubber duckie being squeezed.

Little aside: I remember back in high school, in one class, the teacher was filming project presentations. She wanted to queue us as to when it was ok to start.
"Ok, when I give you the finger, start."

She realized what she'd said in about the same time it took the class to do the same. It took awhile for everyone to stop laughing.

Well I have a better story for ya:

Back in engineering, my Microsystems Design professor, which happens to be an Indian lady of 40 years, was lecturing us about gated latches for microprocessors. There was a dip switch connected to the circuit in the diagram. She said about the switch : "OK, so when we flip this thing ....this DING DONG! The processor receives the signal, OK? And then..."
The whole class (40 guys and 5 girls) had a unanimous WTF look on our collective faces. She didn't even have a clue she just kept on going. That was a really strange moment needless I say. I guess her not having a clue about it made it really funny back then.
