But my point in posting is that legality is not irrevelant simply because the subject is CG. For instance, in child pornography, if a CG child is depicted in a manner or situation that would be illegal for a *real* child, its still considered child pornography. I believe this is being contested, but IIRC its still the law right now.

There was recently a court case where a convicted pedophile was put in jail for parole violation. Not bcause he touched anyone or got near anyone or spoke to anyone. He was convicted of violating parole for writing his fantasies down in a journal....

I guess I'm a little concerned about the free speech implications, at the same time I hope that this is an example of the spirit of the law prevailing over the letter. What I mean is that, yes he has the right to free speech but if a panel of jurors hears the case and thinks that he's to scary to be loose then I think they probably have the right to put the f'er away....

The characters themselves were not generally changed. However, some were omitted and some that were not omitted took over actions of omitted characters. For example, Arwen finds Aragorn and the hobbits instead of Glorfindel.

Well... the only thing I just noticed is that her abdomen is abnormally long. Her "mammary glands" are at a reasonable place in relation to her shoulders for a girl her age, but, judging by her belly button, her abdomen is about 2-4 human inches too long.

I don't quite get the problem though -- What's bad with sexy drawings? How is it different from posting pics of a supermodel? You aint ever gonna get either of them! They're pixels on a monitor, not real, how does it matter how they came to be? Agreed that a guy should try and find a real woman and not a fake one, but as far as fantasies go, CG characters are as real as Pamela Anderson.

And anyways, don't even try to tell me that you would pass up the chance to use a holodeck or something if you had the chance. 🙂
