Walkie Tower i810 Flex ATX System. Fairly Complete, and darn cute shipping is $18.00 for me. Not as cheap as a Burie but a little more complete. Says it's a lite-on but I found the Manufacturers page here... (Suncheer). Looks like the case measures 18"x6"x1 1/4"

MFG page says supports:
Intel Celeron PGA 300~533+MHz
Intel PIII FC-PGA 500~933+ /66/100/133 MHz FSB

I wonder if the "+" means it will support Faster Celerons (1.1Ghz ???) or PIII's (1.2Ghz???)

Interesting thing is No Floppy Drive... I wonder if it won't fit or if no connector on MB or Both???

I am seriously thinking of picking one up and pairing it to a 10" - 15" flat screen and using it for a kids computer or even in the Kitchen to use for surfing over morning coffee

Suncheer and Lite-on are basically the same company.

these are very nice barebone. It actually support Celeron 800. I did not try anything higher.

You can add USB floppy drive if you really need one. (I have not use any floppy disk for at least 2 years now)

Hmm, it would be kinda nice to have something this small, though I was looking for a laptop. This would certainly be "cheaper" if you look at speed/performance. On the other hand, what would I do with this that I couldn't use a lesser powered laptop for? hmmm

The complete system looks good as an upgrade for my wife. However, I couldn't complete the checkout process and couldn't find any way to contact the site. Has anyone done any business with this company? I feel a little uncomfortable dealing with a site that I can't contact. Thanks

Yes I have done business with them multiple times. I'm not sure you want to actually contact them though, they speak little english. It's actually kind of funny. The only problem that I have had with them, is once they were a little slow on a return. They are for real though, and generally get the order out same or next day.

From the specs, it looks like it supports a floppy drive connected to the parallel port. The cable is simple / cheap to make, or can be found on ebay easily. (Connects a floppy to the parallel port and uses a ps2 port passthrough to power it.)

Specs say it has 3 PCI slots, so you could slap in a cheap PCI vidcard with TVout. However, they may be unusable because of the extremely small size of the system.The link for the backshot of the system doesn't work for me, so there's no way to tell AFAIK.

I like the specs and the size.
Support for 133 FSB is awesome comparative to Burbie that only supports 66.
But looking for a very cheap system for a wife or family member Burbie may be a better deal. I am not trying to crap since I would buy this for myself in a instant if I didn't already buy a burbie. This is the way I look at it (you may disagree) If you are looking for a CHEAP system (since the people you buy this for are not heavy programmers or gammers) save the 40 bux or so and get a burbie. If you need the speed of a PIII or whatever go for this.

Some questions to whoever brought one, or knows the system:

It say that network card is "optional". Does that mean that its on board? Would my D-Link PCI card work/fit in it?

Looking at the manufacturing web site, it has a floppy connector. Is there ANY room in the case for an internal floppy drive?

I can't seem to find an Ebay auction for those USB/PS2 cables for floppy rigging. Any links?

Whats the best deal (I guess I'll need CPU fan too) for a CPU? (Celeron)

The SV25 seems to support the VIA CPU, and comes with a CPU fan, has a different chip set, but other than that, its $20 more.

SV25 has Tualatin support, only the late version 3 of SV24 supports Tualatin. There's also the bragging rights of having an SV25 as opposed to the former......

its not a bad price, especially since it comes with the cdrom and all that stuff.


there is definitely a trend towards these new small systems. i mean who really needs more than 3 expansion slots with everything integrated into most boards now. outside of 3d cards. plus i most normal people would rather have a nice looking, smaller stylish system than a giant beige box, or in my opinion a guady aluminum system (the biggers ones i think are pretty crummy looking). i know my system only has 1 card in it and thats the video only. and i have minimal fans in a small case (inwin l545 slim microatx tower with vertical cdrom running a p4 2.133 though )
