That is super cute. My neighbor has a Pixie-bob, breed between a bobcat and feline. The thing is gorgeous and about the 1.5x the size of a normal cat.

It says in the very first lines of your link that there's no connection between these and bobcats, lol.

The Pixie-Bob is a breed of cat claimed by breed founder Carol Ann Brewers to be a progeny of naturally occurring Bobcat hybrids. Later DNA testing failed to detect Bobcat marker genes[1] and these cats are considered wholly domestic for the purposes of ownership, cat fancy registration, import and export.

Wife and I have a bengal cat. Breeder also sold Savannah cats.

I've noticed these cats are way more curious and intelligent than the average housecats we've owned. I can only imagine how much of a handful a bobcat hybrid would be.

Those are beautiful cats. I imagine they are very curious animals, more than domestic cats. How are they to own?

I'll have to dig up a picture. Unfortunately, bbzzdd is blocked at work.

Our Bengal is still a kitten, but huge. At 6 months he's about 11 lbs, lean. Curious and furious, he's constantly racing around the house and terrorizing our other cats. He gets in to our cupboards and will pick up and run with anything he can fit in his mouth. Constantly talks, and sometimes insists on being escorted to the litter box (I have no idea why).

There is one spot in the house where he had an accident right when we got him. We've tried cleaning it, but his urine scent is much stronger than regular cats. We're going to have hire professionals to deep clean the area. For now we have obstacles in the way so he can't find a comfortable place to pee.

He loves attention, but not much of a lap cat. He loves to try to climb on shit. I imagine he would destroy our curtains if he ever extended his claws, for whatever reason he never bothers so our curtains survive. The only thing he does scratch is his catnip-filled cardboard scratch pad....and our mail. He'll slaughter paper left out. I've had to call our power utility and explain "my cat ate the mail....how much do I owe again?"

His fur is very very soft...softest I've ever felt on a cat. I've never seen him shed, and my wife's allergies don't act up if she snorgles with him.

He also fetches.

Very cute OP.

The F2 our breeder has is stunning. Super exotic and wild looking. It's a "different" kind of look than regular house cats though.

F2 = 2 generations inbred. I'd rather not care for an animal born stupid and with a higher probability of lethal defects. :(

Uh no....F2 = two generations removed from wild. Breeders are constantly sending studs and queens around for genetic diversity. For example, Asian Leopard Cat + Egyptian Mau --> F1 Bengal. F1 (female, males are usually sterile for a few generations) + F2 Bengal or Domestic --> F2 Bengal.

In the case of Savannahs, substitute Asian Leopard Cat for African Serval.

they're cute until they eat your face.

Yeah I wonder if they stay well domesticated if raised as a kitten. Though it aint your regular sized cat, so even if not willingly destructive, it would probably still cause damage. Huge claw marks in the couch and stuff lol. Too bad they can't just stay that size. haha.

Ah, so each generation is actually back-crossed? I'm used to working with inbreeding schemes within lab. I don't do any of that savage breeding for commercial purposes. :p
