Let's end this thread before he thinks of something else to do. Like cutting his PCI slots to fit PCI-Express components :Q

Honestly though, I think this guy should hang out with me if hes gonna drink and work on his puter at the same time. We'd have a blast, ive tried things people wouldnt touch with their enemy's ****, for example, noticed the K8N Neo Platinum had all its traces routed around four "holes" around the cpu socket, I thought i might mount my waterblock from my athlon xp that way since it used four holes. after a little bit of careful work with a dremel I am proud to say.... that it worked! it mounted like a charm!

sadly though the MB did not survive its incursion with the dremel and a 6 pack. :(

Well, if you cut off 462 of the right pins, you might get it into a socket 478 board and have the worlds first:

Opteronium or PentAthlon64

or I could cut off 478 pins and then fit it in a socket 462! That would be even better cause I have so many socket A mobos laying around...

No, but you can bite into the core and see if it is made out of wood or not.

It's much less destructive to see if it's made out of wood if you wiegh it.
If it weighs the same as a duck it must be made of wood, since both ducks and wood float in water.

Now this is OMG LOL funny!

Wow, a:

BartOpteron
or
TBrederon

You could be credited with the AMD Dinoline of processors (if WD has Raptors, why not?). It would be no worse nor more confusing than the billion or so AMD platforms out ther now.;)

Don't Athlon 64 FX-51s count? They're 940 pins... well they're 940 until you make them fit into smaller sockets with less pins.

Oh and when compairing it to the weight of a duck, is that with the heatsink on it or not?

How about adding pins in order to be ready for the coming generation of socket 961?

Check the CPU data sheets before doing this! If the architectures are completely different you might not only ruin your CPU (if it is critical pin), but you might smoke the mobo too...
