Which phrase do you use?

  • I have to cut the grass today

  • I have to mow the lawn today

Necessito cortar el césped hoy. No sé cómo decir la otra frase.

Edit: Say, why can't I mow the grass, or as above, cut the lawn?
 
I do neither. I detest yardwork with a passion. I have lived in my house for almost four years and do not own a mower. I have paid someone since day one to cut/mow what I would rather have paved and painted green/or astroturf put down.

If I could have a huge concrete slab for my front and back yard, that would make me happy.
