cut a hole for a fan

how would i go about adding a fan to the side of a case?

hole saw is by far the easiest.

dremel, and while you are doing it, get another hole on top as well, that helps cool your system a lot

BTW do you already have window side case or just a metal?

well im trying to decide what case to get, if adding fans is hard, ill get one that already has a blowhole and a side fan, but if its easy ill do it myself, because i cant find a case with the extra fan placings i want (2 on the side pointing at cpu and video card, plus a blowhole)

If not, use a jigsaw, dremel takes to damn long and you can easily screw it up if you loose your concentration.

i use a jigsaw with the appropriate blades...pilot drill the center of the hole, then use jigsaw to cut it out. much easier than the dremel IMHO
