Customizing folders in Win2K

Is there an option to set all the folders to look the same? Not the folder options but the customize folders. I want to use a background picture for all the folders and I don't want to go thru each folder and set it up. Thanks

Please give me a PM when you get an answer. This is driving me crazy. I just want a plain, classic look with all details for ALL the drives! From my experience, the "like current folder" setting has to be applied on every freakin drive and subdir! WinME got it right, there is a nice button that applies your settings for ALL drives/folders with one click.

I don't know why it didn't work for you, but Ladi tips sure works for me, try this if you click on My Computer in Windows Explorer then choose your setting for that folder (the way you wanted) then go to Tools -> options -> folder options -> Like Current Folder -> Yes, now close windows explorer and reopen it, it should work. I think this work with the background to but never tried it because it slows down the windows explorer a bit, so I wouldn't want to mess with it.

Please someone! I hate with a passion the Idiot view it defaults to with large icons, no file extentions and no viewing of hidden files. I long for the days of File Mangler. 😀
