Customized homepages using ASP

Hello,

I am a network administrator at a medium-sized company (~1500 employees) and we are using IIS for our corporate homepage. We are using Windows 2000 Server. So far the homepage is very simple: I used Dreamweaver MX 2004 to create HTML pages that contain some directory information and a few reports here and there.

Currently I am using the security features embedded in Windows 2000 Server (File Permissions and Active directory) to allow only certain users from accessing certain reports (e.g. Cash sheets, etc) and exlusive part of the webpage.

Our staff hierarchy includes Owner, CEOs, CFOs, Accounting, and others. I would like to make the homepage more user friendly by creating a login so that the user can type in his username/password and be directed to his own custom homepage.

Someone told me that I can use ASP to do such that but I have absolutely little to no programming background. Can anybody give me some suggestions or possibly provide a link to a helpful resource that I can use?

Thanks in advance!
