Custom zippo engraving...?

LordMaul

Anyone here ever deal with getting a zippo(or a couple of them) custom engraved?

I have a font(or vector image, whichever would be most convenient to the engraver) of a small, fairly simple picture that I'd like engraved(no particular color. Just white/silver) in 2 or 3 black zippos.

Here is what I want it to look like.(Photoshopped by yours truely, not a real item).

So....I know Zippos run at around $15-20 without engraving, but I have no clue about price for the work itself. If, say, I brought my OWN Zippos to the engraver, would it reduce cost considerably? Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks...

Maybe try calling someone who does engraving instead of asking a bunch of people who work on computers.

I'll remember that next time.

But this time, fxck off.

Maul: have you checked at those stores in the malls? The engraving stores? They might be able to do it?

Or i would second the suggestion of the trophy shop

Thanks(and you, too, Happypuppy). Not sure about any trophy shops around here, I'll check for any in my area...

I had wanted to get the superman "s" engraved on a zippo a while back. Aside from the copyright issue, the place I took it to said it would cost about $50 for the one. I didnt get it done, but that could be a ballpark figure for you. Complexity may play a role in cost as well.

Most of the engraving shops in malls only do letters, I think this would be too much for their equipement.

That's kind of what I figured. I saw a few places online, but they only do huge bulk amounts...thus, my coming here to see if anyone else has tried it before.

Was this you taking YOUR Zippo to them, or just asking to buy a Zippo from them with the envgraving? IE, did the Zippo itself add to the cost or is the $50 pure labor?
