Custom Resolution and Battlefield 2: Special Forces

Anyone notice that Special Forces won't let them use high custom resolutions in internet games?

I'm trying to run it at my native 1680x1050 (+szx 1680 +szy 1050) something I could do in previous versions no problem, I can also run it in single player at that res, but once I join an internet game it quits out changes the resolution to like 1300 x 1024 or something like that and then connects to the server. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm using an ATI x800xl

Thats messed up, if its true. I don't have Special Forces so I can't test it out.

Since my desktop has a 2005FPW, I'd also run it at 1680x1050, and my notebook runs at 1920x1200. I don't want any game turning down the res from what I set it to.

Thanks for the reply, Is that Special Forces, or plain jane BF2?
I'll try to uninstall/reinstall tonight.

Yea, that's bothc special forces and bf2.

my Shortcut looks like this:

"F:\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200 +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1

I run both BF2 and Special Forces at 1680 x 1050. All I did was copy the +szx 1680 +szy 1050 from my BF2 shortcut to the end of my special forces one

same here.

but the thing is, when i choose a SF server while in regular BF2, my resolution gets all mucked up. likewise the otherway around.

sucks they couldn't integrated well enough like they did w/ 1942 and the expansion pack for that.

Mine is the same as what it was for BF2. I don't barely play SF though. I just got it for the other guns

Just make sure you don't pick an SF server from inside regular BF2 or a BF2 server from inside SF....
