Custom firmwares for Dir 615 version M2

I have a Dir 615 hardware version M2 router. It came out in 2013. I want to install a custom firmware for this but I cant find the DD WRT for this version until now. They have it till the Dir 615 I1. Do you guys have any advice on any other custom firmwares I can install on this model? Or can I install DD-WRT for I1 on this without bricking the device?
 
Technology wise, the way the marketeers call it, the way the Plastic Box look like, and the general Model number became meaningless under some vendors/manufacturers.

When a certain Model become famous, vendors take advantage over the Ignorant consumers and keep selling "Boxes" under that same Model name (different revisions).

However, some of these revisions are build with different components (cpu, chipset, memory size).

Before I make a decision to by any thing I connect to the device's support page, download the data Sheet and manual and take a look before I decide to buy.

I also look for DD-WRT/Tomato/etc before I buy Not after.
