anyway, I am looking for suggestions on what to insulate the tubes with.

I have been having a lot of fun with building it and have made a lot of changes a long the way ; Any suggestions on ways to make this better would help out a lot

Neat bit of mods,
Bunch of questions but these will do for now, what is your loop and what is the flow direction? Why have a rad after the fridge in the loop? If the water is cooled sub-ambient by the fridge won't this warm the water?
Why the ice chest in the fridge? My question being if your using the fridge to cool the water why insulate the water from the fridge?

no minivridge is very dangerous. Reason is you'll burn your compressor out very quickly.

Also in sub ambient cooling, you dont want a radiator in the loop unless its on a hotside cooling it off.

The rad is on the hot side of the tube cooling as it comes out of the computer. I have a Wolfdale 8400 oc at 4.5 and with the voltage at 1.575 it the water pretty warm still.

AHH.. the cooler in the fridge sorry I didnt explain.

first here is a pic of the inside of it

I have a stainless steel container with the coolant in it and then it is surrounded by water and the freezer piece is bent down into it and that freezes the water. once the water is frozen the fridge doesnt kick on nearly as much. The refrigerator was only 70 bucks and am just having some fun, so if it tanks out no biggie. It has been a lot of fun and has helped relieve the stress of working 50 hrs a week and having a 2 year old ;)

this has been a great stress relief for me.... helps me get away for a bit!!! Kids are a blast but wow. so much energy. This is my wife and I first child. we are older she is 40 and I am 35. So I think wed handle all of the things well. Glad we didnt have kids young, may have been an entirely different story ;) Thanks for the welcome.

forgot to add if I find a full size fridge for cheep I will use the freezer on that to do the cooling ;)

I think I'd consider making that little fridge into a chiller or phase change, Aigo is the resident wizard on that stuff around here but here you'll find much more in that direction. You should post your pics in the gallery, not many systems like that around!
