I have been looking for a way to make my computer a bit quieter. Right now I have a vantek heat sink with a vantec HSF on it running at 7000rpm, and it is loud. I have been looking at buying a couple of 60mm fans and putting them side-by-side on top of the heat sink, hopefully getting better airflow with less noise. What would be the best way to hook these up? is there anything I should know before i jury-rig up a way for them to stay there? I am moving my computer into my apartment soon and will have to live with it in a 9x12 foot room so the less noise the better. other than the heat sink fan I have 3 80mm case fans (sunon, not very loud) a Visiontek fan on my geforce3 (fairly loud) and the PS fans (medium loud) so the quieter the HSF the better. Also, what about a pair of Ultra-Cool 80mm Clear Fans? The specs are: 80x80x25mm, 29.51 CFM @ 2000 RPM, 25 dBA, .17a, 12v DC, 3-pin connector, and if I could rig them up side by side over the heat sink I think I would get very good air flow with it being pretty quiet, any idea on how to rig these up? Thanks
