I just got an ASUS CUSL2 yesterday and was trying to repartition my hd so I can install an os.. well, I have to boot from floppy to repartition but I can't get the motherboard to boot from the floppy. I have the bios set up so it will boot from floppy, cdrom, scsi, then ide but it goes straight to cdrom... I tried reversing the cable in case I had it in wrong but when I reverse it the light just stays on all the time on the floppy which is not right... Is there anything I can try?

The "light stays on" is a clear indication that you have the floppy cable around the wrong way. Make sure that you have the connectors on the ENDs plugged in....to the motherboard and the floppy. The pin1 strip is on the right side of the ribbon....not the same side as the power connector.

Have you tried disabling or was it enabling the floppy 3 mode support thingy...I'm not sure...don't try this if you don't see it in the bios.
