I'm still using the original BIOS, and all I added after install was the chipset drivers, which eliminated the unknown device problem. The Probe shows my CPU around 34C and MB around 24C. That's fine with me, I'm not OC'ing or anything, so it COULD be a little lower, but whatever.
My question is, are there temp errors in PCProbe when using the old BIOS? I had heard something about this somewhere before, but I don't remember exactly what. I'm kind of hesitant to upgrade to 1003 final because everything is running so smoothly (From fdisk to running perfect in W98SE in about an hour and a half!!). I don't know enough about average temps to know if 34C CPU and 24C MB are reasonable, so I can't tell for sure if the Probe is reporting incorrect temps. Any ideas? Plus, are there any problems with the 1001A that I might have right now and just haven't noticed yet?
