25:1 placed Feb 27th. It was obviously before the brackets were announced and the Conference tourneys. 'Cuse was just getting hot and getting some national attention; they were like 18-4 and #13 or #15 at the time and were starting to emerge as a Big East favorite. They were the only team that had decent odds and a reasonable shot at winning. I'm a UMD alum, and they were only getting 7-2 with 7 losses at the time (ranked 11 or so), so that tells you how fast the odds dropped off. 'Zone and UK were 3-2 and 2-1 respectively; most of the other teams in the top 25 were 10 or 15-1. The other one I liked and took was Marquette at 15-1. A few of my buds got in on the Syracuse bet as well....needless to say my tab will be paid for at least a month. :beer:😀:beer:
