cursor keeps freezing up.

This machine has been running smoothly for over a year. It's an Abit VP6 MB, 2x PIII 700e's (running @ 1050 each), IBM 40 gig HD, 3-button logitech mouse which is several years old, windows 2000 pro, etc...

A week before Christmas we moved about 30 miles. Since shortly after that my mouse occasionaly freezes up. Everything else seems fine, but the cursor just freezes and I end up rebooting. I haven't taken the time to open up the case yet. At first I thought it was heat relating and my computer was simply locking up,
but it's just the cursor.
Any ideas?

Another problem I am having is I can't stay dialed up. I keep getting disconnect from my ISP. Then I have to keep redialing over and over to reconnect. Sometimes it'll say I am connected but I can't get anywhere. I am suppose to be getting DSL any week now, but who knows how long it will take. I wasn't having any problems the day before the move staying connected to my last ISP. Settings should all be the same.

Thanks

Are you using the mouse VIA USB or PS/2? It may just be your OC catching up with you on the USB hub. The heat could also be a good start. I would start by reducing the speed on your procs.

As far as your being disconnected, if it worked before, you may want to call your ISP and ask if they have any 'special' settings that work better with their modem pool. It could be them dropping you due to inactivity...

Who knows. Aren't computers fun. I love random computer problems.
