Cursor jumps all over when typing

So I have a strange problem that when I am typing something, randomly the cursor will jump to previously typed words. Super annoying since then I need to go back and fix the problem. This is happening on my laptop and I am not touching the touchpad at all. I've had this laptop for awhile and it has only started doing this since I installed a fresh copy of Win7Pro. Just typying this paragraph it has happened 5 times. Rather annoying.

Any ideas?

Agreed.

Also, many touchpads then have the option to disable the cursor when typing. That should solve your problem.

Thanks, that fixed it. Sorry, first laptop, didn't realize there was a driver for it.

Laptops have proprietary drivers for just about everything - including audio., The old rule for a laptop fresh install is to download and have all those available. They often come in bundles from the OEM's website.
