See a little bit of that at the hockey arena here. I sit near the tunnel the visitors come out of and home team fans stand there cursing at the players as they come out and go in. Pretty stupid especially considering this is OHL hockey and the players are mostly 16, 17 and 18 yr olds. I realize that it is the top Junior league in the world, a lot of these kids are NHL bound, a few are NHL ready, and play a rough NHL style game but come on, they are still just high school kids. Give em a break. People need to lighten up on the language.

They need to lighten up on teenage sportsmen, I agree. That's jacked up (would be with pros as well).

I never curse except for when I'm in a fit of rage. I think it's a gift not cursing daily. Be gifted.

And yes, it does say something about a person who openly curses all the time as part of daily language. I had one person who cursed to himself while I was waiting in Staples with my kid. He said it then instantly apologized to me haha.

IDGAF. Are their remarks on point? Does what they're bitching about really matter? These are much more important considerations than how many censored words they used.

It depends on the situation. Generally though, it immediately makes me think you have the maturity of a middle schooler. I remember working at the pizza shop & a guy came in with his young daughter and started cursing me out over like a dollar price difference on a pizza sale we were having. Basically no respect for using foul language in front of his daughter or the people in line behind him, and he was also wigging out over something like a dollar on a sale that I had no personal control over, which wasn't real mature either.

I would consider this over the top. If I'm cursing in public, it's most likely due to some strenuous situation (like a car accident), and very possibly I'm on the phone. I never curse at employees working at a place like a pizza shop, supermarket, etc....

Exactly. There are situations where it's understandable, and then there are times when people just act like immature losers. Literally everyone in the store was just staring at this dude ranting off like a sailor, all while holding his daughter who was probably 3 or 4 years old. Whaaaaaaaat the heck man :D

Vulgarity is the hallmark of the lower social classes.

Have you seen Friday Night Tykes on Netflix? Texas youth football. Even the coaches are cursing repeatedly while talking to 10yo kids. It's no wonder where they get it from if they feel that's ok. That shiz won't fly in white suburbia for sure.

I usually try to avoid swearing in public. I just consider it more of a common courtesy as I realize that it isn't just me out there, and someone may not like it. If I do, I usually try to be a bit more discrete about it.

I'll admit that I've avoided a second date with a few women because they were far too liberal with their cursing while in public.
