Hi everyone. I currently have the WRT54GL. Thing is, the wifi signal is not strong enough to reach all parts of the house. I haven't done any of the custom firmware flashing. I stumbled upon this on Ebay. It seems to be exactly the same as the router i have, but with the "custom" firmware. I've read a bit about DD-WRT. So i was wondering, if I bought another WRT54GL, how hard would it be to flash it like the one in the ebay link?

You would need to flash the router without DDWRT. Just so you know, it'd be cheaper to buy another WRT54GL and then flash it with DDWRT and set it up as that one than buying that one on Ebay. Just a suggestion. WRT54GL's are extremely easy to flash with DDWRT.
 
Thanks Kev. Yeah I was planning on flashing myself, but was worried about bricking one or both 🙁. I'm glad to hear that is is easy.
 
Only thing to make sure you do is be connected with ethernet when doing the flashing and do not panic mid-stage and pull the plug or else it will be bricked.
