Well, Cad, its your right to vote for whoever you feel like. Your possible delusion is that the larger world is going to give a damn about your one puny vote. But even as a partisan dem, I would hope you can assert a role in helping the GOP again find its way after the all but certain coming GOP trainwreck.

 Nowhere did I suggest the larger world is going to give a damn. Why do you libs constantly have to be stuffing straw? Sheesh.

I tried pragmatism and working from within. I'm going to try something different because many of us Conservatives are sick of the GOP lurching ever leftward.

Sure, I have no problem shedding them as well. However, I'm quite positive what you consider the RR is different than what I consider the RR. I am very opposed to Gov't dictation of actions and do not support Federal laws that impose such things.

It has been very entertaining watching wingnut conservativism die a slow death during this presidential campaign, and ultimately it will die a final death this Nov. 4th when they're kicked out of two branches of the government. You had a good 12 years guys, now the American people know what a failure wingnut conservativism is and you'll just have to die along with all the other baby boomers who still don't get it.

I don't give a squat about the current state of the GOP... I'm more interested about where the conservative movement is headed.

That's pretty much what I've decided to work on too. Before, it was about trying to change a political party that has been abandoning an ideology but I think politically we need to punish them and vote to show we want Conservatism back. Conservatism is going to need a good leader though because people have started to buy into the view that Conservatism is about being part of the RR. It's not.

I will be interested to see if you have the balls to discard the fundies and the neo-cons (the aggressive, world domination seeking folks). I hope you do because some of what conservatives espouse is good common sense.

And, while you're at it, maybe you could pick a different name. Conservative sounds like you're afraid of the future. What's being conserved? buggy whips?

My understanding was that Cad has always been socially conservative (a.k.a. "fundie") and pro-war. I think that's what he wants more of.

I did not blame liberals for the GOP's problems. I blamed GOP RINO's and the party not having a good leader. You'd have realized that if you'd have read my post.

Yes, the last 8 years have been too liberal for being GOP controlled. Yes, if the GOP had stayed Conservative they would not be in the position they are in today.
I've stated this many times in various ways so you can take your motive questioning and shove it up your ass. Now please actually READ what I post instead of ASSume I didn't answer your question just because I didn't answer it the way you wanted me to or presumed I should.

Wow... very angry arent you. OK, as a "liberal jughead", I will now go and shove my motive based question up my ass.

Have a nice election =)
Yeah, I'll say ! I don't want to piss him off, so tell me ... did he say yes, or no or what ? :D
