I have a logo from my company that has to be put on some jackets. The printing company is telling me we need a higher resolution image. Only problem is, I only have the image from the webpage. Is there anyway to take an image and make it higher resolution? I have never really been into the graphics side of computers, so my knowledge is pretty limited.

TIA

Have someone recreate it in a vector based application so you dont have to worry about it in the future, you cant add extra detail where there isnt any

Why not chec k with the company art department or the agency that created the logo for the website? They probably have a master. Or, check with the webmaster and see if he/she has the original on file they used to put it on the website.

In summary - short answer: no. Long answer: no but surely somewhere some designer has the original on their 17" macbook pro or whatever.

I will try and get a pic uploaded. Unfortunately, the boss paid somebody to create the logo and site and they want a ridiculous amount of money for it :/

What a couple people above said. Get a vector image editing program that has autotrace to vectorize the existing bitmap image. Adobe illustrator can do a pretty good job so long as the image is pretty simple.

You don't need to vectorize the text, figure out what font it is and recreate that part.

your boss needs to find better designers to work with or learn to negotiate better terms. If they did the logo for the site then your boss should own all assets. milking him twice for the same work is awful sketchy.

if you cant find someone here to do the logo in vector, let me know and i can hook you up with a friend/student who'd probably do it for $100.

Change your name to "Mighty Morfin" Construction company? Then you can wear purple jumpsuits.
